Good Progress Despite a Rainy Week

The only sun all week was this one
on our cabin wall, keeping me company
in the evenings.

The house is taking shape.
The previously built sundeck is in the foreground.

One more day of work is to be done before
the Christmas break. Then the house will
be covered with large tarps to protect it
from the rain.

Urs on Weekly Site Visit

The weather can be a challenge.
When I arrived it was -2C (30F) in the cabin, 0C (32F) outside.
Everything was frozen, including the water supply.
By 5pm, with the heater going, it was a balmy 15C (59F)
in the cabin; later a more comfy 20C. (68F)

A quiet evening at the cabin.
On the ferry going through Active Pass.

A first for me -
watching humpback whales in Active Pass.
