HAPPY EASTER

Daffodil close-up.
Daffodil is "Osterglocke" in German,
which means Easter Bell

So far mostly daffodils, but other flowers are coming out too.

The happy pair.

Just glowing in the back lighting.

All over the hillside

A two-toned variety.

White daffodils
Wall flower (Name to be clarified)

Grape Hyacinth
Oregon Grape
Built a new birdhouse for a Flicker.
We saw a flicker hammering away at another,
larger birdhouse as if to attract a mate. We hope
to attract a pair with this new birdhouse.

The front is lined with bark. it is hinged at the top
and can be opened for cleaning.

Here it is up on a tree, in plain view from the veranda.

The Northern Flicker from the bird book.
It is a type of woodpecker.

Another birdhouse recently built and mounted.
This one is intended for a family of House Wrens.
They were nesting in an older house in the same location
last year. Now, in case they are interested, their house
has been replaced with a new model.

Freshly planted ornamental plants in the best soil you can imagine.

Meanwhile in the garden.

Daffodils galore

Flowers on Rosemary bush

Sleeping bumble bee

Judy contemplating garden design.

She is a digger. Digging rocks out from the soil.

Ready for transport down the hill.

Great for filling potholes in the driveway.

An on-going project.

The rocks will soon be rolled flat into the softer ground.
